Esmé at the Farm

Delicious! (The calf that is)

We went to a local “pumpkin farm” this weekend and scoped out some imported pumpkins, farm animals, and other strange earthly delights. The place was packed full. The people that run the place probably make money hand over fist, and I suspect they don’t grow the pumpkin themselves. It looks like the “pumpkin farm” orders the pumpkins from an actual pumpkin farm. Anywho, we had fun, despite the heat and stiffling humidity.

We didn’t do much else. I watched Where in the World is Osama bin Laden, and it wasn’t very good. The movie would have been topical – oh, five, six years ago, but at this point it just rehases things other movies and documentaries already covered in much better fashion. We bought Esmé a push cart thingy that she totally loves. It looks like I’m going to be spending all my free time pushing that girl around the neighborhood.

Oh, and I hate the stupid WordPress editor. It took me an hour to get these images placed properly, and even then it looks awful if your resolution is less than 1280×1024.

What? You actually use the WordPress editor?

I like the bare bones with the MarkDown plugin. Fast, fast, fast and less < and >-ing than HTML.

This blog is hosted at WordPress.com, so I have little choice. One alternative is Microsoft Live Writer, but I’m wary of any of MS’s “Live” stuff.

It depresses me to see how fast this kid is growing up. Tell her to take her time!
