Box O’ Comics

October 19, 2006 Leave a comment Go to comments

Someone mailed us a box full of comics the other day, and tonight my wife and I spent some time sorting them out. The box has much variety. However, the most distinctive feature of the “Box O’ Comics” is its randomness. For example, it includes Ultimate Iron Man #4, but not nos. #1-3 nor #5. There is issue 89 of Ultimate Spider-Man, which was part 4 of the Silver Sable arc. What happened to parts 1-3? The box also included only odd numbered Astonishing X-Men – famously knows as The Comic Book Joss Whedon Is Writing – nos. 1 to 13. The question of the even-numbered issues remains a mystery (the box also included several issues of The Question). Nevertheless, my wife and I are looking forward to spending the next few months reading the various comics. We are grateful to our mysterious benefactor.

Our cat also enjoyed the comic books.

However, they seemed to enjoy the box more..

I better not find out those issues of The Question are from the original run rather than the recent Rick Veitch series.

Don’t look a gift box of comics in the mouth. What an ingrate your benefactor must find you to be!

    How am I an ingrate?
